The Miki Magic Cursor extension uses Chrome's local extension storage to remember settings and provide cursor styles, cursor trails, and cursor pets. Local data remains in your browser until you remove it, reset the extension, or uninstall the extension, except for online requests described below.

Local settings and cache: The extension stores enabled states, selected assets, language, sizes, pet type, pet position, activity preferences, and limited recommendation or Backpack cache in local extension storage. 2. On-page interactions: While an effect is enabled, the extension temporarily processes mouse position, clicks, double-clicks, context-menu actions, and drag gestures locally to render trails and pet interactions. These interaction coordinates are not stored or sent to our servers. 3. Tab addresses: The extension may inspect the addresses of open tabs only to skip restricted browser pages and apply enabled effects to eligible pages. It does not store or transmit those addresses or create a browsing history. 4. Online requests: When you search or browse online content, the extension sends the search term, selected content identifier, requested content type, and language as needed to mikicursor.studio. Our servers and hosting providers may receive standard network metadata such as IP address, User-Agent, request time, and error information. 5. Backpack: If you use the account-linked Backpack feature, the extension may retrieve your saved cursor, trail, and pet records and cache a limited copy locally. Authentication information is used only to authorize that request.

The extension downloads recommendations, cursor images, trail images, and pet configurations from mikicursor.studio and cdn.mikicursor.studio. It does not collect page content, upload mouse coordinates, sell user data, serve advertising, or create cross-site behavioral profiles.

Our use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
